Note di rilascio versione 2026.28.5 (inglese)

Tesla software update 2026.28.5, released on September 16, 2026, covers supervised driving. Its 6 documented entries explain changes to the ownership experience, from the features used inside the cabin to the software operating behind them. Availability depends on the vehicle and the requirements of each entry.

FSD (Supervised) v14.3.9 is listed for newer Model S, Model 3, newer Model X and Model Y with HW4. Availability follows the requirements of each entry; the update number alone does not identify which driving branch a vehicle receives.

FSD (Supervised) v14.3.9 improves learning and visual understanding for unusual or low-visibility situations. Changes address parking decisions, lane positioning and responses to emergency vehicles, school buses, animals and complex traffic lights. The revised AI runtime is described as delivering 20% faster reactions. These refinements concern how the driving system interprets the road and chooses maneuvers while the driver continues to supervise. Intervention feedback and driving-distance statistics also provide more information about the journey.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised) Down Under assists with navigation, lane changes, turns and movement around vehicles or objects. The right scroll-wheel button activates it when available. The driver remains attentive throughout the journey, with responsibility for road conditions and for intervening whenever the system needs help.

Arrival Options lets drivers choose how the vehicle should finish a journey, including parking or a drop-off where supported. Preferred arrival choices and parking positions are saved for each destination, so returning to a familiar location can reuse the selected preference. The navigation pin follows the selected arrival choice.

Speed Profiles gives the driver a way to influence driving pace and lane-selection behavior. The chosen profile is considered together with speed limits and surrounding traffic. The right steering-wheel scroll control changes the selected profile, making driving preferences accessible without opening a separate settings page. SLOTH uses lower speeds and more conservative lane choices than CHILL.

UI Improvements makes Self-Driving settings available within the center display visualization. Drivers can change preferences from the driving interface, keeping the relevant controls alongside the view used to follow the journey. Driving statistics and touchscreen activation are also documented. Arrival preferences can be adjusted there as well.

Brake Confirm controls whether starting Self-Driving requires pressing and releasing the brake pedal. The entry defaults that confirmation off, allowing the screen command to begin activation without the extra pedal step when the operating requirements are satisfied. Drivers can enable the confirmation again in settings.

Below, you can find the individual 2026.28.5 Release Notes, with images and the vehicle and hardware requirements for each documented feature.
