Note di rilascio versione 2026.38.5 (inglese)

Tesla software update 2026.38.5, dated October 10, 2026, combines seasonal entertainment and everyday vehicle functions with FSD (Supervised) v14.3.12. Its ten documented entries cover different hardware configurations, including AMD, Intel, HW3, and HW4 vehicles. The feature labels are New Feature, but owners should check the individual requirements rather than assume the complete package applies to every Tesla.

Halloween Mode is listed for AMD-equipped newer Model S and Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck. It brings a ghost costume to the vehicle visualization, visitor-triggered spooky sounds and flickering lights, a scheduled themed light show, and Halloween Photobooth effects. Separately, AMD-equipped HW3 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles receive higher-quality vehicle graphics and an enhanced parking scene.

Emergency Drive Away lets compatible vehicles shift into Drive with a Supercharger cable still attached, strictly for emergencies. Doing so will damage the vehicle and charger, and repair costs may be the user’s responsibility. Activation also shares short vehicle-camera recordings with Tesla. Supercharger Site Maps serve a different purpose: Intel-equipped legacy Model S and Model X, Model 3, and Model Y can view layouts and live stall status at supported pilot locations.

Set Arrival Energy allows a desired destination energy level to be chosen from the Tesla mobile app, requiring version 4.58.0 or later. Dynamic Headlight Leveling applies to specific Model 3 and Cybertruck vehicles, adjusting low-beam aim for driving conditions and traffic to improve visibility while reducing glare.

For the listed HW4 vehicles, Automatic Collision Evasion can activate supervised driving when insufficient attention or a possible unintended disengagement is detected. FSD v14.3.12 describes improvements to perception, reinforcement-learning training, reaction time, lane positioning, following distance, parking, and responses to unusual road situations. The notes also cover driver monitoring, temporary system recovery, intervention feedback, distance tracking, and destination parking options.

Full Self-Driving remains supervised, requiring an attentive driver ready to intervene. Broader reasoning and pothole avoidance are still described as upcoming improvements. Security fixes are included without details of individual vulnerabilities. Below, the illustrated 2026.38.5 Release Notes explain all ten entries and their vehicle, hardware, and app conditions.

Halloween Mode

New Feature
for Model S (New), 3, X (New), Y and CT
AMD / Available Worldwide

Halloween Mode combines a ghost costume for the vehicle visualization, spooky sounds and flickering lights when visitors approach, a scheduled themed light show, and Halloween Photobooth effects. The notes describe year-round use and list AMD-equipped newer Model S and Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck.

Visual Updates

New Feature
for Model 3 and Y
AMD / HW3 / Available Worldwide

The center display gains higher-quality vehicle imagery and an enhanced parking environment. This entry applies to Model 3 and Model Y with AMD hardware and HW3.

Emergency Drive Away

New Feature
for Model S (New), 3, X (New), Y and CT

In an emergency, a compatible vehicle can shift into Drive while its Supercharger cable is still connected. Leaving with the cable attached will damage the vehicle and charging equipment, and the user may have to cover repair costs. Activating the function shares short recordings from the vehicle cameras with Tesla.

Supercharger Site Maps

New Feature
for Model S (Legacy), 3, X (Legacy) and Y
Intel / Available Worldwide

Select View Site Map to inspect the layout of a supported Supercharger. Navigation to a pilot site shows the layout and live arrival status, distinguishing available, occupied, and out-of-service stalls. The listed vehicles use Intel hardware.

Set Arrival Energy

New Feature
for Model S, 3, X, Y and CT
Tesla App 4.58.0+ / Available Worldwide

Choose the energy level you want remaining at your destination from your phone. Open the Tesla mobile app’s location tab, enter the destination, and select Set Arrival Energy. App version 4.58.0 or later is required.

Dynamic Headlight Leveling

New Feature
for Model 3 and CT
Specific Vehicles / Available Worldwide

Eligible Model 3 and Cybertruck vehicles automatically adjust low-beam aim to driving conditions and surrounding traffic, balancing road visibility with reduced glare for other road users. Availability is limited to the specific vehicles listed for this function.

Automatic Collision Evasion

New Feature
for Model S (New), 3, X (New), Y and CT
HW4

On the listed HW4 vehicles, Automatic Collision Evasion can engage FSD (Supervised) during manual driving if it detects insufficient attention or a possible unintended disengagement. It attempts to keep the vehicle safe and continue driving. Consult the Owner’s Manual for detailed operating information.

FSD (Supervised) v14.3.12

New Feature
for Model S (New), 3, X (New), Y and CT
HW4

The v14.3.12 description covers improved reinforcement-learning training and a revised vision encoder for rare situations, poor visibility, three-dimensional geometry, and traffic signs. A rebuilt AI compiler and runtime using MLIR is associated with a stated 20% improvement in reaction time and faster model iteration.

Driving refinements address unwanted lane bias and close following. Parking selection and maneuvers become more decisive, and the predicted parking location appears on the map with a P icon. Responses to emergency vehicles, school buses, right-of-way violations, and unusual vehicles are also included.

Further training targets small animals, complex traffic signals, curved road approaches, yellow-light stopping, and uncommon objects extending into the driving path. The system can maintain control and recover from temporary degradation to reduce unnecessary disengagements. Driver monitoring gains better gaze tracking, eyewear handling, and accuracy under changing lighting.

The notes also describe a unified model across Actually Smart Summon, FSD, and Robotaxi. Drivers can select a reason after an intervention, view distance traveled without an intervention and their longest streak in the Self-Driving App, and see parking options on the map when arriving at a destination.

Broader reasoning beyond destination handling and pothole avoidance remain on the upcoming-improvements list. They are not described as available capabilities in this release.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised)

New Feature
for Model S (New), 3, X (New), Y and CT
HW4

With continuous driver supervision, FSD can start from a parked position, follow navigation through lane changes and junctions, maneuver around vehicles and objects, make turns, and park at the destination. It does not make the car autonomous; every authorized driver must remain attentive and ready to intervene.

Activate the feature with the on-screen Start Self-Driving button or one press of the right scroll-wheel button. It can be disabled in Autopilot Settings.

Security Improvements

New Feature
for Model S, 3, X, Y and CT
Available Worldwide

Includes security fixes and improvements. The release notes do not identify the individual vulnerabilities or provide a detailed breakdown of the fixes.
